The Winona State University women’s softball team is once again making plans for their upcoming season. Last spring, the Warriors had another tremendous season finishing with a 41-17 record and making another run into the NCAA Tournament. This marks the 22nd consecutive season of 35 or more wins for the program, and the 15th trip to the NCAA Post-season. The hard work of our athletes was further recognized at season’s end as five of our student-athletes earned All-NSIC honors, three earned All-Region nods, and one was named All-American. The 2023 edition of the Winona State softball program appears to be poised to make yet another run at the Conference Title, and continue on to advance in the NCAA post season tournament. In addition to returning five starters off of last year’s squad, we have added seven new student/athletes to the Warrior Family making this another strong club.

In trying to remain among the Nation’s elite programs, we have become more reliant on fund raising to offset the costs of equipment and technology. 100% of the money raised goes directly into our program’s equipment budget.

Why are donations necessary?
One of the most important elements of our year is the need to fund raise for our program. Our fund raising efforts help raise funds for our program to defer equipment costs each year so our student/athletes can have the bats, helmets, and technology necessary to continue to prepare, practice, and compete at an elite level.
